Comes knocking at the door like a wolf in sheep's clothing, draping reality in a fictional romantic comedy about a twentysomething NYC couple named Daryl and Zoe whose relationship is coming apart.

I was expecting this film to be so much more than what it was. It was an averagely indie film about twenty somethings and their relationship issues. I felt like the two leads really lacked good chemistry and never worked as a couple onscreen. We never saw them in their relationship at there best just the awkward and hilarious decent into breaking it off. I really wanted to like the film but it was definitely missing a key elements. I think a better story maybe I'm not sure what. But the overbearing parents are the scene stealers.

A comfy, up-tempo view of the New York indie-verse that has strong regional flourish, feeling less like a glamour shot of NY and more like a view of the city that never sleeps from a well worn studio with a big bed.

An interesting exercise where you get to watch a couple try to gradually break up, which is only slightly less painful than doing it yourself when the characters are this deliciously flawed. Nothing spectacular, but the family dynamics and constantly forward moving storyline make it worthwhile. Fun for me was the main female actress was also in a movie I saw where she played an Orthodox Jewish woman. It was fun for me to see her in such a different role. The actress who plays Jason Schwartzman's wronged gf in the first season of Bored to Death was also in this. Is there a shortage of beautiful Jewish NYC based acresses? I highly doubt it.
