It has heartwarming moments and interesting back-and-forth between characters, while keeping its story simple, if a little on the sappy side in the end. Not a bad start to Duran's directing career.

A weird combination of saccharine drama with "Footloose," deadly earnest but utterly incredible, the good intentions overwhelmed by silly theatrics.

It's not good but it's not bad either. Bravertown combines drama and dance in a not so cliche flick. Its definitely got more momentum than all that Step Up nonsense and the actors did fairly well so I actually had a good time watching this when I was bored.
