John Twiller takes down his high school yearbook and begins to reminiscence about that time he first moved into the neighborhood in 1956. His teenage self, Jack is obsessed with Lily one of the more popular girls around. The sole obstacle is Angelo, her bullying boyfriend. Book of Love was Nominated for an award at the Sundance Film Festival although its a low budget movie... Too bad the script does not have enough conflict or plot complication... The story seems too direct and too linear...

Boring and predictable story of a boy who has an affair with his older neighbor. I did not enjoy this movie.

This was a waste of 83 minutes. I thought that it would be an interesting character study, but in the end it failed to go anywhere. It did seem to be even handed with its handling of the subject matter. It was not judgmental or harsh with the characters but left their actions up for the viewer to make their choice on how to feel about it. I just did not feel that the movie brought anything new to the table. I also have HUGE problems with any stories that involve sex with 15-year-olds. That is something I always have a hard time wrapping my mind around.
