Hits all the important aspects of life as you take the journey ..best film ever

one of the best films of all time. Some of the best cinematography, brilliant story line, and a musical score that doesnt feature much 60's surf tunes, yet is still as brilliant as any other music score you could come across. Easily the best surf film of all time.

I would love to see this on the big screen. The surfing scenes are great but it is the interaction of the 3 main characters (and the colourful supporting cast) as they journey through the intense changes happening in America at the time which makethis film great. Sterling performances from 3 actors who haven't really shined as brightly since.

Very sweet film, although very dated now. Probably the film which launched Gary Busey's career. Safe viewing for a lszy Sunday afternooon.
