Bardem's performance is ABSOLUTELY haunting and that is more than enough to rate this 10. Another highlight: it shows a side of Barcelona most of the people who visit the city never thought of.

In a poetic, melancholy masterpiece, Javier Bardem turns in a riveting performance as a terminally-ill black marketeer laboring to resolve issues of family, spirituality and morality on the mean streets of Barcelona. Beautifully composed by one of the most exciting directors working today, it leaves you amazed and heartbroken. Highly recommended.

One of the most human, heartfelt pieces of cinema I have seen for a long time. I was surprised how many people disliked the film on here. Maybe they don't wish to be reminded of the hard realities of most peoples lives. This film is definitely not light entertainment. But it is, nonetheless, beautiful.

Biutiful is (queue cliche) beautiful! Inarritu is a master storyteller and among the top tier of directors working today. This is his newest masterpiece! Javier Bardem gives an amazing performance; the best of the year if not for James Franco's groundbreaking performance in 127 hours.

Beautiful, haunting and unflinching film. You won't see characters such as these from Hollywood. This movie really got to me. I've never been a huge fan of Bardem's, but after watching this, I may have to become one.
