The Revenant is a visually stunning, brutally intense piece of cinema with a chilling performance from Leonardo DiCaprio that finally gave him his beloved Oscar.

A great cast in excellent costume. The locations are beautiful and had me chilled to my bones. The score was simple yet was probably my favorite part of it all. All this together had me nearly in tears. Tom Hardy's villain was easily shadowed by Leo's performance, but I think it was his detestable antagonist that really helped solidify Leo's Oscar win.

The Revenant is the most outstanding film I had seen last night when I buy this film on DVD, Leonardo DiCaprio did delivering his best Academy Award winning performance as Hugh Glass and Tom Hardy is incredible.

Amazing!!! I never give 5 stars, this one totally deserves it. I can't say anything negative about this movie. The story, the acting, the details, the special effects... everything is good. The bear scene, the best!!
