this is one of my all time fav nicole kidman film's. It is flawless in every way.

An odd, slightly icky little film, deftly shot and self-assured but unbelievable on just about every level, emotional and otherwise.

Looks, sounds, and feels like a Carl Theodor Dreyer film.

A Fantastic movie! I loved that it doesn't totally resolve everything in the end, and leaves things a bit open ended, so you can make up your own mind. I think that saying concretely that the boy was in fact her husbands spirit would have made the movie a bit cheesy. It retains the mystique, which is why i love it so much.
