A beautiful documentary about the life of my favorite song writer ever. It's tragic, but full of humor. And I loved seeing all the Texas songwriters (Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Steve Earl, Kris Kristopherson, ect) get together to pay respects to the fallen legend in this lovely film. Plus it's full of his beautiful music. Awesome.

Townes is musical genius personified and this awesome doc gives a good over-view of his life and work. It shows his briliance but doesn't shy away from showing how destructive he was to himself and those around him. A must see!!

beautiful! i had no idea about Townes until this film. now i want to find his stuff everywhere. loved that they showed how troubled he was, loved the interviews, the scenes with his children. thought it was real interesting. and interesting that he came from a family where he had "everything," yet was still depressed, etc...
