B-E-A-utiful. This movie is like everything you need to not be mad. I really don't know how else to say it.

As a native Minnesota, this movie brought it all home for me. I listen to APHC every week. I think it lacked one thing, and that is a News from Lake Wobegon segment...the part of APHC that ties everything together. Its hard to beat a Garrison Keillor monologue.

Prairie Home Companion takes me back to the wonderful world of theatre. In the "Fullness of Time and Spirit," how about that Virginia Madsen? "Every spirit is remembered," and God, I love Kevin Kline. Then, there's Garrison Keillor's "Every show is your last show. That's my philosophy." "On radio, no one gets old, no one dies." "Bad jokes, can't get enough of them." "C'mon pal, let me buy you a drink."

This is one of the best movies I have seen with wonderful performance from every single actor (including Lindsay Lohan), but it's not just the acting that captivates you, it's the wonderful story that shows what goes on backstage with also life after the show, even after the movie ends, the credits still keep you entertained. Every song in this movie was excellent. I must say I had never listened to the actual radio show, but this still interests me.
