Rarely have the unique challenges of growing up biracial been captured with such keen empathy on screen.

A fascinating look at not only the early years of the president but also about how people from different racial backgrounds struggle to fit into society. It really brings home the idea that Obama may be the most "American" president we have ever had because of his unique and diverse background. While the film may not be the most well made, the issues it deals with are very compelling.

Filled with implausible incidents meant to buttress the premise that Obama was an outside to both Blacks and whites and generally devoid of any deep psychological or political insights, it is worth watching on Netflix just for laughs.

Wanted to like it, but it sort of just meanders, offering some superficial commentary on topics like race and inequality in America. Bland and well -intentioned, much like Barack Obama himself, but what I want in a President is not what I'm looking for in a movie.
