Between a 7/10 and 8/10, This lean, violent REVENGE thriller from the UK has a dark undercurrent of humor to the story of an otherwise mild-mannered farmer and weekend hunter who turns out to be surprisingly resourceful..

Baugh and his co-writer Brendan Mullin have a good feel for how they can push the absurdity of the situation without turning the whole thing into farce.

Dark humour, violent and thoroughly entertaining. Set in Northern Ireland the film follows Donal, a Tyrone farmer who sets out on a mission of revenge after his mother is murdered in a home invasion. This is a road movie featuring a cast of colourful characters, some great one-liners and some highly original action scenes. Not be be missed.

A violent and predictable revenge thriller and yet it's entertaining enough and even when balancing in the absurd it manages to recover to offer a firm and adeptly competent experience.

Bad Day for the Cut delivers its cinematic goods thanks to a smart combination of wit and violence, briskly delivered over just under 100 minutes.
