Feels a lot like a cRPG. I can see how the film wouldn't be for everyone, but the art style was stunning, the characters played to tropes I love, and the plot was straight up fun.

It had some good fights in it and it was sure differnt but I think it was still good movie I enjoyed it but sure differnt for a movie but in a good way

Ok so just to clear this up. this movie was amazingly unique and I honestly thought I was going to hate it. It's Scott pilgrim meets sin city how could you not love that. I could see if you did not have the mental capacity to understand the deep undertones and pure poetry that made this movie great, but to hate on it so much is just silly. this movie does not deserve such a low rating when we have real tragedies like Pacific Rim or another step up movie. I mean seriously it wasn't another sequel or remake so ease up.

I have no issue whatsoever being in the lower percentile of people who really enjoyed this movie. The concept was fantastic and surprisingly believable. The movie as a whole was very well executed. The Drifter, Yoshi and Killer #2 are each fantastic and awesome characters. Sets seemed to be designed in a way that almost makes you think they were for the stage - which, mixed with the elaborate color scheme, adds even more to the movie's comic-book feel. I certainly feel for this movie. My only opinion in regards to why it was marginally unsuccessful can be credited to all of the Michael Bay/JasonStatham lovers out there who go into movies with a mindless-explosion/lifeless-action quota to be met. What a complete shame.

A simple story beautifully executed. Characters are made on the subtle and intricate; this is not a movie for people that want something to watch while their mind wanders. Among the big colours and wild sets, keep an eye out for the hidden beauty.
