"Bad Day at Black Rock" gives the viewer a skin-crawley Twilight Zone sensation almost from the start. It's almost a western and certainly has the thriller and film noir genres well-covered as well. Powerfully portrayed by a magnificent group of actors: Spencer Tracy, Robert Ryan, Lee Marvin, Anne Francis, Walter Brennan and Ernest Borgnine are just the most recognizable among a tremendous cast. Top drawer! Spencer Tracy as John J. Macreedy Robert Ryan as Reno Smith Anne Francis as Liz Wirth Dean Jagger as Sheriff Tim Horn Walter Brennan as Dr. T. R. Its gets better everytime i see it...the way it deals with bigotry and why people become bigots..the fight scene is one of the best ever! Great acting, great script..ST superb!

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie.....i think that spencer tracy, robert ryan, anne francis, walter brennan, ernest borgnine, lee marvin play good roles/parts throghout this movie....i think that the director of this western/classics/drama movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie....i think that spencer tracy is brilliant as the 1 armed stranger....i think that this is a brilliant classics western movie 2 watch with a great cast thoroughout this movie this is a brilliant movie 2 watch

A tough hard-edged and suspenseful drama with a powerhouse cast lead by Spencer Tracy in a superlative Oscar nominated performance as John J. Macreedy a World War II veteran with a crippled left arm, who comes to the tiny California desert town of Black Rock, one very hot summer day in 1945. Macreedy wants to find a Japanese farmer and give to him the medal won by son, who saved his life and was killed in action.
