There a just too many historical inaccuracies in this film, and Richard Burton as Alexander is just too unbelievable. The blond wig looks like something out of a panotmime

Decent enough film. epic? no. too much melodrama and not enough good dialog too keep me interested in the story. the only interesting dialog is that of between Philip(alexanders father) and Alexander. BUT.... it IS better than Oliver Stone`s version.

I can't imagine this film being any good fifty years ago. What an utter bore. Acting is hammy, action scenes are pretty laughable, and the story doesn't go anywhere. Nothing really happens!
