Abel Ferraran harmillisen vÃ¤hÃ¤lle huomiolle jÃ¤Ã¤nyt, hienoilla roolisuorituksilla tÃ¤hditetty mafiadraama. Vaikka huhut kertookin Ferraran paneutuneen elokuvan kuvausten aikana lÃ¤hinnÃ¤ kolan niiskuttamiseen, on lopputulos yllÃ¤ttÃ¤vÃ¤n ehjÃ¤. Alamaailman glorifiointi ja vÃ¤kivallalla mÃ¤ssÃ¤ily on jÃ¤tetty kerrankin sikseen. Sen sijaan on keskittytty jykevÃ¤Ã¤n ja uskottavaan, jopa Cassavetesin tuotannon mieleen tuovaan ihmiskuvaukseen. Etenkin elokuvan loppupuolella Walkenin hahmon tuskailu oikeudesta ja kostosta on riipivÃ¤Ã¤ katsottavaa. Bad Lieutenantin ja King Of New Yorkin ohella Ferraran parhaita!

Absolutely riveting from start to finish. Abel Ferrara's take on New York City gangsters is unlike any other film of its genre. Chris Penn is phenomenal and powerful. Chris Walken is fantastic as always. The business needs more gangsters films; this is a great one. See it.

Great cast in a slight tale. Having Walken in vengeful gangster mode should make for a great watch and for the most part, it does. He is always a great watch and having him spar against Del Toro and Chris Penn, it's good viewing. The only problem is that the actual story isn't particularly well developed and it is over before it really begins, It's an interesting watch and it's take on revenge was unusual. The ending of it is just so quick and it doesn't make a great deal of sense. All things considered, not bad at all...

Another classic from Abel. This time we've got Chris Walken, Chris Penn and Vincent Gallo playing mobster brothers in the 1930s. Yep you got it, its one big barrel of crazy. Chris Penn even sings in this! His character is especially nutso. Highly reccomended to Abel Ferrara/crime film fans.
