There was something about this movie. It didn't find an audience. Like many Ferrara films fell to the wayside as being rather unreconized.

Started off slow, but the finale was worth waiting for. The performances from the three lead actors (Walken, Penn, Del Toro) were as expected..flawless. The mystery aspect of the film was the best part alternating between the past and the present. The only real downside was the length, a film like this should have gone in to much more detail and be at least another half-hour longer, but ah well was worth watching nevertheless.

Considering the cast, I thought this was going to be much better. Some inconsistencies with the plot, strange casting choices, and little character development. Gallo is also pretty poor at playing anyone other than himself. Its a good job his self is so entertaining to watch.

The movie is slow driven, but the ending (Chris Penn) grab you by the balls like no one does.
