There are some bright one-liners in the beginning, but the comedy/drama mix is an uneasy one, especially considering the shabby way the film treats McKenna, as a tart who’s just there to improve some yuppie sex lives.

Hahn is a great actress and this was a lovely treat. Its quirky and funny and Temple and Radnor are equally as good. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Tension dissolves towards the end but Jane Lynch's turn (as Rachel's pompous, self-referential shrink) never gets old.

This was such a fresh, genuine take on the bored housewife theme! Probably the most real film on this theme I've ever seen. Both funny and thoughtful.

The misfire of Afternoon Delight is one of writing, almost as if Soloway was afraid to let her characters progress to a truly interesting place.
