Easily the best film I've seen this year. Corbjin doe the le Carré source material more than justice, Hoffman is Günther Bachmann and the rest of the cast play their roles to perfection. A must see.

Loved this movie - Grigoriy Dobrygin was fantastic as Issa. This was a very powerful movie that sadly really got overshadowed by the death of PSH. Naturally many of the reviews dwelled on that. It was wholly believable as to what is going on in the world. It was hard to watch PSH; he's great in this as always, but watching it I would sometimes momentarily forget he's gone and then remember again.

Riveting. PSH is beyond great! What a loss to never see him act again.

This taut drama explored areas of American foreign policy in an original way, gripping and complex.

Brilliant, wonderful cast and quite moving. One of the best films I have seen for a while. Philip Seymour Hoffman, you brilliant actor, your exceptional talent will be so missed. RIP
