The Boyajian family learned of 18-year-old John's death in the Persian Gulf War on Christmas Eve eleven years earlier and have not celebrated Christmas since. A Hall Mark Hall of Fame presentation. Very well done. With Bill DeVane in the lead role, he makes this movie shine. Family still mourns over loss of a son years later. Watch this film if you want to shed a tear for the dearly departed, especially from war. I won't go over the details, but it is sure to evoke emotion from you unless you have a heart of stone. This is not some flag waving, patriotic stuff either. Actors: William Devane, Meredith Baxter, Dean McDermott, Reagan Pasternak, Aaron Ashmore Directors: Christopher Leitch

Very American sickly sweet Xmas film. Storyline weak and obvious happy ending.

Wonderfully acted by all players, heartwarming Christmas story, and rewarding to see a father holding his family together, especailly through the holidays
