Best family film ever, with a slight bit of romnatic comedy

Even on a tight budget, Takashi Miike still manages to raise the bar of taboo in cinema. This movie could be considered disgusting, misogynistic, incestual, and hilariously optimistic. The happiest ending to probably the most dysfunctional family on the planet.

VERY bizarre and disturbing, but very funny. it has a happy ending, in comparison to the start of the movie... definitely my kind of movie. Perverse, but there is a message at the end that makes me smile.

I saw this a few years ago. Miike is and will always remain the most audacious and courageous filmmakers out there. To tackle nearly every taboo with such sardonic humour and complete lack of restraint is truly admirable. It's shocking, shockingly hilarious, shockingly committed. Incredible.
