This is one of the most under appreciated films of the decade. I found it to be moving, touching, and sentimental in the best way. This, along with Spotlight and Steve Jobs, makes up my top 3 films of 2015.

The Great Beauty was one of my favorite movies of the last few years. Youth lived up to my expectations. It deals with aging and creativity. Jane Fonda was memorable in her brief but memorable part. Michael Caine was robbed in not receiving a nomination for best actor.

his can be seen as a companion piece to Sorrentino's The Great Beauty, exploring as it does the process of growing older... Sorrentino's triumph is that he does this in a way that's both beautiful and life-affirming, yet also heart-breaking.
