One of the best films I have ever watched. It's philosophical and deep in meaning interlaced with strategic moments of humour. A film that can be watched a few times to glean the layers of meaning. The stunning cinematography adds a wonderful visual dimension. A masterpiece!

Michael Caine at his Best. Sorrentino has directed a master piece. Wonderful character development. The ending is the expected unexpected. I have watched Caine since the 60's and he is a true theatrical romantic.

Brilliant film. Not quite what I was expecting but extremely poignant, beautifully filmed. Superb acting!

A sweet film with captivating and wonderful perfomaces from a magnificent cast. michael Caine deserves all his praises for the best best role in the last years of his amazing carreer, but also the rest of the cast (Weisz over everybody) are great. Sorrentino together Bigazzy give us their usual beautiful shots, for a little, beautiful movie, less ambitious respect the great beauty but hower vibrant and heartfelt.

Five stars, brecause it is impossible to give more. Visually beautiful, emotionally powerful. It went to Cannes, and did not win anything. I can't imagine how beautiful is the winner ...
