Winchester '73 (1950)

Lin McAdam rides into town on the trail of Dutch Henry Brown, only to find himself in a shooting competition against him. McAdam wins the prize, a one-in-a-thousand Winchester rifle, but Dutch steals it and leaves town. McAdam follows, intent on settling his old quarrel, while the rifle keeps changing hands and touching a number of lives.

This sure is a very great movie with in the leading role a gun :-). very good story and put nicely together.

A gritty western with a great supporting cast.

These guys are supernatural with the rifle. The stunt shooter actually shot through the hole in the coin in real life.

Great story, great human interest, but James Stewart is too soft and civil see as a run and gun get it done cowboy.

Fantastic movie. Jimmy Stewart made some of the most interesting Westerns. It probably says horribly unhealthy things about me that I find him that much more attractive when he's angry, but he's awfully yummy in this.
