A cinematic biography of Hunter S. Thompson (before the movie of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"). It's based on the biography, "The Twisted Tale of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson." There are things in there that relate to Thompson's book, "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail: '72;" but, there are also visuals in the movie that hint at his works (e.g. Bill and Peter pass by a wall that reads in graffiti: FEAR AND LOATHING, and Bill is wearing a visor that reads: LAS VEGAS on it at the beginning of the movie). I think Bill did a superb job, as did Johnny in the more popular film (I think Johnny was tied a little closer to Thompson, at least geographically...he shares the same birthstate). Whatever, just watch the movie; it's hilarious, and showcases Peter Boyle before the disastrous "Everybody Loves Raymond" days.
