Kada sam prvi put vidjela naslov, ocekivala sam tezu povijesnu dramu o rimokatolickoj vjeri, Papi i crkvi. Na kraju sam dobila strasno zanimljivu pricu i komediju o izboru Pape. Definitivno preporuka svim filmofilima.

genial historia, muy profunda con gran sensibilidad. la pelicula cuenta los entretelones de la eleccion de un papa que, cuando resulta elegido por el Conclave, sufre una fuerte crisis existencial y decide abandonar todo. con mucho humor, nanni moretti retrata una historia poco comun. impecable michel piccoli como Su Santidad.

The key stroke to the success of Moretti's film is that the thematic push-and-pull rides under the surface of what is a very often funny film. The laughs are frequent, but never mean.
