Benjamin has lost his wife and, in a bid to start his life over, purchases a large house that has a zoo – welcome news for his daughter, but his son is not happy about it. The zoo is in need of renovation and Benjamin sets about the work with the head keeper and the rest of the staff, but, the zoo soon runs into financial trouble.

A feel good movie that I was suprised to discover at the end was based on a true story. Much of the film was predictable yet sweet. Maggie Elizabeth Jones is an adorable and great child actress! I definitely recommend this as a great family film :-)

I rarely give a movie a "5" unless it creates a moment of "emotion" that can only be captured from a real life experience. This movie touches on the basic human emotions of love, loss, happiness, and hope. It's sad that a movie like this just gets pushed to the side against other films at the time of it's release because it doesn't have awesome special effects, or a ton of film actors. This movie has a story...it has characters and most importantly a sweet message of how life is an never ending adventure with bumps, twists and turns, and surprises that lead to new possibilities. I highly recommend this movie to ANYONE who just wants to watch a "feel good" movie, or one that wishes to see a nice movie that tells a beautiful story without all the eye candy of CGI. :)

Wonderful story. A father working on building up his relationship with his children. And fell in love with animals at the same time. A must see
