As much as I wanted this to be a comedy, I was still satisfied even though it was a lot more serious. It did make me realize that even though W was an awful president, he still was a person who probably didn't want to ruin the country or do a bad job.

interesting film, I can't say whether or not the film is entirely accurate but odds are decent that Oliver Stone's information was better than Bush's. Nevertheless an engrossing portrait of a man who hungered for greatness so badly that he overlooked that humility may have made him greater.

I love W. It's definitely an underrated Oliver Stone movie. We all expected the iconoclastic director to take a huge sh*t on George W. Bush in the film. Instead he creates a powerful, perceptive father/son drama. Bush may be ignorant, but as the movie shows it, everything he did he did to win the support of his father. That's all. Stone magnifies political culture and gives us intelligent, fast-paced dialogue in W. Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, James Cromwell, and the rest of the cast are absolutely superb.

An interesting look at the life of George W. The only way this movie could have been better is if Oliver Stone had waited just a few more years. There was more to add to the story.

Great directing and above average acting. For what it was I liked it. I recommend you watch this if you appreciate a good director.
