By playing the real off the surreal, Veronica finds an often chilling middle ground.

3/10/2018 I was expecting the same fright that I had for The Witch and The Canal. The overly hyped Net-flick did not quite live up to my horror-loving persona. A few expected scary scenes here and there. Probably the expectations were high but it underdelivered.

Well produced and finely acted. The film has some great scenes but the evil entity lacked proper depth.

Tagged as "Netflix's Scariest film" , VERONICA failed to deliver what the horror fan in me expected from it. The beginning was intriguing but the rest was rather boring. I'm now confused if the claims of how scary it is are true or just sarcasm. Though, I must commend its excellent cinematography and outstanding cast acting. Other than those, this movie is just overhyped.
