The story is about a young woman who has a series of sexual encounters to numb the pain of the loss of her mother after she died of cancer. This is a great start for anyone who wants to see Samantha Morton's acting skills. She does an excellent job at being a complete mess of a woman and also being vulnerable at the same time. The film isn't 58 minutes long. It's really more of an hour and 20 or 30 minutes long actually. It's a great film. Overlooked, but really good. I recommend it.

A fantastic surrealist film. Very scary and thought provoking. Scarlett Johanson does a good job of beeing attractive, scary and heartbraking. One you must need to think about a lot after you see it.

Under the Skin is, in short, a film that does just that: gets under one's skin, shining a light on what it means to be human -- even if what we end up seeing is something less than comforting.

Artistically brilliant. This will become a cult film whose reputation will rise in the years ahead. There are some stunning scenes, particularly the one involving the ocean. The film maintains the essence of the book yet makes its own way. Kudos to the director and Johansson for such brave choices. A great film.

This film is visually beautiful, with it's eerie atmosphere with deception theough seduction looming over so many scenes. Scarlett Johansson's performace is certainly one of her most interesting she's done.
