I grew up on video store movies in the 80's. When the movie opened up with a kid on his bike with the theme song from Rad, I knew immediately that I was all in. It lagged a bit in the beginning when the girl was introduced but it made sense later. It is a very narrow audience for this movie but if Mad Max meets Rad from a video store sounds good then its a must watch.

Turbo Kid tells the story of a young super hero trying to survive in post-apocalyptic 1997. This funny, violent, retro flick is like Hot Rod meets Star Wars directed by Quentin Tarantino.
