Classic 90s action when Hollywood had BALLS. Will not be going to see that neutered version now playing in cinemas right now. I will however be making this one of my next Blu-Ray purchases to see it in HD.

It is goofy, over the top, has great sets, the practical effects are amazing and Arnie seems like he's having the time of his life. Add to that a story that is actually intriguing and you've got yourself a great Sunday afternoon.

A great movie for its time. I really don't know how any remake is going to top this cult classic. It has such a cool 80's vibe, a macho muscle man hero, and so much personality. The plot is interesting, and involves a man who's memory has been erased, human mutants on Mars, and an ancient alien civilization. The movie itself can't really be taken too seriously - none of it can really suspend your belief, because parts of it are just so classically cheesy (which is part of its charm). If a remake of the movie were to be made in a more serious, pseudo-scientific and secret agent tone, then we might be in for a treat. Another way to go could be a quirky 'Fifth Element' style remake.

A really violent, harsh, and witty sci-fi that we've never seen before and yet it doesn't take it's audience so stupidly or went complex; perfect balance for a film
