Another great Hitchcock. Still hold up even though there are none of the usual stars.

Topaz's plot is incredibly convoluted, yet Hitchcock molds this arc into what is possibly the most astonishing narrative structure I've ever seen. The film consistently changes protagonists, antagonists and genre-focus, making for hazardous complications in fluidity. Hitchcock oversees these potentially horrid transitions, however, with ease and cinematic poise, making Topaz his most impressive undertaking.

This is a wonderful spy thriller, Hitchcock at his best!

Definitely one of Hitchcock's weaker entries. A dated movie which lacks much of the pacing seen in Hitchcock's other movies with a downbeat ending to boot.

Inferior Hitchcock, but the master's touch is still evident in some of the film's brilliant stagings. Also features a delightful cameo from Comrade Fidel Castro (as himself) in his Hollywood debut.
