Three Fugitives (1989)

On his first day after being released from jail for 14 armed bank robberies, Lucas finds himself caught up in someone else's robbery. Perry has decided to hold up the local bank to raise money so that he can keep his daughter, Meg, and get her the treatment she needs. Dugan, a detective, assumes Lucas helped plan the robbery, and hence Lucas, Perry and Meg become three fugitives.

Such a funny movie. I love it. Very very very Funny. Very under-rated movie.

I've not seen the original French movie (Les Fugitifs) that this is based on and can't understand the mauling the critics gave it. I personally found it hilarious, especially the opening robbery scene. Martin Short does his usual bumbling idiot and Nick Nolte plays the mean ol' disheveled bastard who beats him up a lot. I actually really liked Martin Short when this came out, off the back of Three Amigos and Innerspace, when he was quite funny. It's unfortunate his stock descended post-80's when he starred in duds like Father Of The Bride & Santa Clause III: The Escape Clause.

I really like this movie. It has a ton of comedy, a decent storyline, and adventure you don't want to miss
