The Witches (1990)

While staying at a hotel in England with his grandmother, Helga, a young boy named Luke inadvertently spies on a convention of witches. The Grand High Witch reveals a plan to turn all children into mice via a magical formula. When they discover the eavesdropper, the witches test the formula on him. Now, with the help of Helga and hotel manager Mr Stringer, Luke the mouse must fight back against the witches.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that anjelica huston, anne lambton, jane horrocks, jasen fisher, mai zetterling, rowan atkinson play good roles/parts throughout this movie.....i think that the director of this kids/drama/fairy-tale/creepy movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie...i think that this is a great movie 2 watch its a really enjoyable movie with a good cast throughout this movie n its a good family movie 2 watch...i also think that rowan atkinson was great as the manager/boss of the hotel because he played the part really well in this movie i think that this is a good family movie 2 watch

I remember seeing some of it as a kid and finally watching the whole thing it was enjoyable. I read the book when I was younger and it creeped me out. The movie is rather creepy too. The witches are so weird especially the one at the beginning. The Grand High Witch looks really good and the transformations to the mice are well done. The real mice and puppet mice switch rather well and what they were able to do was cool. I did enjoy the movie because of the cool technical aspects and the story seemed to move along well. Overall, it is a kind of spooky childrens film.

Loved watching it growing up, and love it as an adult... Cute story for kids to watch about who is a real witch... best part is when the head witch chants kill him.. and laughs.. kill him... KILL HIM.... loved every moment
