Marlon Brando invented the Rebel without a cause. I don't care who wrote the part, Marlon Brando acted it and popularized it. He sold it. James Dean would have been nothing without the influence of Brando. Its interesting watching a brilliant actor play such and airhead character with such authority and power. He commands your focus. Its not surprising that this movie was so influential in its day. Having said all this the movie was a little dry by todays standards. I wouldn't recommend watching this if your not into Brando or 50s culture. But if you are this is the grandaddy of the Rebel Without a Cause slogan. The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club kicks ass.

Brando is effortlessly cool, this film stylistically portrays the jive talking leather clad biker beatniks of the post war era and the reactions of the so called upstanding citizens who were intimidated by them.

My favourite part of this movie is the end. Marlon Brando (who plays the tough leader of a motorcycle gang), has been very proud and stern throughout the movie, suddenly looks at this girl he likes and smiles.....and it's the most beautiful thing.

Brando is absouletly fckin GORGEOUS n such a bad boy its the biggest turn-on EVER!!!!!
