Simple pleasures. Pacing is fittingly slow, but there's not much insight.

What is it to be old? Very old... and sad, and still with hope, and charm... this one either touches you or it doesn't. How anyone can see these actors - Bette Davis, Lillian Gish, Vincent Price, Ann Southern - in their final or near final roles, and not be touched... well, busy, busy, busy, always busy.

Worth it just to see all the veteran actors. Lillian Gish was great and also a great.

Not much action, and the plot mostly seems rather quotidian and un-exceptional, but it is charming, has some great performances, and is amazing to see the final (completed) film performances by Ann Sothern, Lilian Gish, and Bette Davis.
