This movie is one of my all time favorites! It is a testament to how great practical effects can look. Over all an amazing movie than keeps you invested all the way through.

Slow burning suspense, incredible prosthetic effects, and a chilling soundtrack elevate The Thing to near-perfect B-movie stature, with plenty of terrifically quotable lines.

The best film ever made about basic, primal paranoia. Absolute atmosphere, dark soundscapes and one seriously bleak situation are all present, accompanied by excellent natural SFX. I've seen The Thing countless times.

"BURN IT!" Best Part:- The doctor's hand was bitten and then,the thing slowly came out from the stomach.Brilliant! Underrated and unpredictable.The terrific part in the entire film is not the creepy bloody creatures,it's we have to find out who is who,which man is the thing.The make up is purely realistic and you can feel the thing is actually 'there',a good example to prove how fake the CGI is.Eerie audio for the creatures and Mr.Carpenter's suspenseful direction.One of the John Russell's best(Kurt Russell & John Carpenter).
