This thing was long! But Fairbanks really is mesmerizing to watch. Humor, drama, romance--this film has it all. The sets are gorgeous, too. Watching this, I was surprised at how advanced film as an art form was even in the 1920's. Modern film has perhaps lost touch with some of that as films become more and more like visual and emotional popcorn. Tasty, but mostly air. This is a film the whole family can watch and enjoy.

Douglas Fairbanks is so insanely amazing in this film, the expressions he uses to convey his emotions are nearly comparable to chaplin. This movie is one of my all time favorites

a few too many times i was forced to ask "physics-whu?" it dragged on in a number of points, like a good bit of 20s films do, unfortunately.

Magic carpets, monsters, flying horses, humor, and a big pay-off. This filmed on a 6 acre set. This movie is the full package.
