The Second Arrival (1998)

After Zane Ziminski is found dead five people received envelopes with details of an alien invasion. This group of five includes 3 scientists, Zane's brother Jack, and a reporter. Quickly, the group is down to three and then Jack and Bridget, the reporter. With a small piece of alien technology, they must escape from the aliens, who take human form, and try to convince others that aliens exist.

nowhere nearly as good as the first Arrival movie. maybe a little better then average, nothin special though

One of these "Oh there was a sequel?" movies that comes out to these science fiction movies that are somewhat successful. The original Arrival, as you may remember, starred Charlie Sheen as a amateur astronomer which stumbled into something big. The 2nd one starts out by us finding out that Charlie Sheen has been bumped off (he's not at all in the movie of course) and he left instructions for his brother and company to find. Of course, this being, again, a half assed sequel, we're forced to endure elements of what made the original interesting (the sphere, the aliens) in twice the capacity. A lot of the plot doesnt make sense, characters are half-explained, and it all takes place in Canada. At least SOME of the special effects are all right. So, in summary, prepare to be amused by this piece of crap.

A pointless and poorly conceived sequel that sets everything back to square one. So it might as well be a crappy remake.

[b][font=Comic Sans MS][size=3][color=darkgreen]Wow! I really liked the Arrival so this was a big disappointment. Bad acting, bad writing and really bad directing. You know what though, any alien taking over the world story is interesting LOL.[/color][/size][/font][/b]

The original arrival was quite a decent little movie, though I'm sure it didn't shatter any box office records. So why, you might ask, would anybody bother to make a sequel? Another question you might ask would be, why would anybody bother to watch it? If you can figure out an answer, let me know.
