Best 2012 movie I've watched so far. Maybe it is the complexity of its characters, especially Charlie. Maybe it is the performance of Emma Watson that leads you to admire her attitude even more than Charlie himself. Maybe it is how the story involves you, and how the first-person narrative by Charlie develops an intimate relationship between you and him. Maybe it is the fact that the movie ignores all the cliches about high school, and it gives you a different (and more realistic) perspective about surviving high school. Or maybe, it is the beautiful relationship between Charlie and Sam. Definitely, it is a mixed of all of that and even more. The story wasn't clear about his aunt, they could do more with that because the book explain it better. But that doesn't take out even a nanometer of my five stars.

Sometimes you find yourself thinking of things like friends, school and love, other times, just about your life, and the things that you go/got through... This movie makes you think of all of those... A beautiful movie... One of the best of the genre i've seen...

Steven joblosky gives the characters in this movie personalitys we can all come to terms to, and understand. this movie is proof that the auther of a great book, can make the movie seem nothing less then beautiful. the perks of being a wallflower has no doubt perfect casting, perfect story telling, that makes up for a perfect movie. in the end this movie will satisfy your needs in great music, and make you dwell in sadness for these characters, it is a must see for 2012.
