i don't know, i think i am subjective on this one but the historical accuracy of how a crucifixion were done at the time of The Roman Empire were quite correct down to the detail. The historical detail were also correct, the whip use on that time were designed to pierce the skin so deep it was technically ripping the skin apart, disfigured the flesh and inflict trauma...and yes, it was a bloodbath. so, separating the fact that this movie is a religious movie, it was true to the historical details, and at many times history were hard to swallow.... and that historical detail is the reason why i gave this movie a high score

I watch this movie to remember what our Lord did to save our souls because without his sacrifice we would all be damned to hell. If you hated on this movie you suck.

This film reminds me of His love for me and the rest of mankind. It shows the Lord's sacrifice for the sins of man. This is by far my favorite film of all-time.
