It was just okay. I saw the original touring opera and the movie and both were better than this. I became a Christian many years after this. I think this may have sparked my curiosity. Now that I see it again I am disappointed that it doesn't address the resurrection of Jesus which allowed me the gift of forgiveness of all of my sins and promise of everlasting life. My hope is that people that are curious about true Christianity research what it is all about and find forgiveness for themselves and for others who have hurt them. This frees us from the bondage of hurt and hate and leads to love and peace. Amazing grace, Amen

Masterful performances impress in modernized rock opera.

The ensemble players were the unsung heroes of the night, throwing themselves into every exhausting, frenetic number.

This is one of the best performances I have ever seen. I just loved the musicians intermingling with the actors...this is absolutely brilliant and each performer was as good as the next. Divinely inspired for sure!

John Legend is NOT Ted Neely. Loved the movie as a 12 year old and am partial to how it was presented. John Legend came across to me as arrogant. Where was the joy and love Christ had for his followers. I did not find fault with anything else. I wish I could love this. But Jesus IS the story.
