i will never understand the general average criticism, for example here. this movie is sooo much better than alice or oz, yet it is rated worse. it got great visuals, great cgi, great settings, great camera, great style, wonderful star girl, great score ... sorry guys, maybe you just don´t get it. read source and listen to source, both ways it´s a great adaptation.

At times it has the feel of a computer game: cross the bridge, open the gates, jump off the wall, beat the boss. Only characters in computer games tend to be more unpredictable, with more than one twist.

My 10 year old daughter and I loved every minute of this gorgeous movie. It was glorious to look at, funny, and touching at the end. Was it Citizen Kane? No....but it doesn't need to be...it was just fun!

I saw it with my sister, in my opinion it's not as bad as everyone else think that they call it "soulless film". You got learned more of the story, it's that you don't who's good & who's bad in the story. I understood that the main protagonist Clara has had a nagging self doubt after her mother's passing & family issues. I understood the key that she trying to receive to open a gift from her mother is also the fuel for the machine her mother invented. Now the mice were trying to save the 4 Realms. This something in real life too, never let any doubt get to you. I also praise Morgan Freeman's role in the movie an old & wise to a young hero girl.
