Pete's Dragon (1977)

Pete, a young orphan, runs away to a Maine fishing town with his best friend a lovable, sometimes invisible dragon named Elliott! When they are taken in by a kind lighthouse keeper, Nora, and her father, Elliott's prank playing lands them in big trouble. Then, when crooked salesmen try to capture Elliott for their own gain, Pete must attempt a daring rescue.

This is one of my favorite old Disney movies. The songs are the best part, very catchy. And the live action/animation is pretty good for 1977! One last thing: Jim Dale. Drools.

I mean -- it's like the best Disney movie. This and Bedknobs and Broomsticks are my favorites. Helen Reddy is so underrated today. Great music, great cast, beautiful cinematography. And nothing is quite as special as seeing Helen Reddy sing "Candle on the Water." Favorite song: There's Room For Everyone in this World. **Welcome the dragon while you have the chance, give him his moment to RISE. UP. AND. DAAAAAAAANCE!!!**
