A high point in the Richard Burton filmography. Ava Gardner is incredibly seductive even in her 40s. One of the better Tennessee Williams'adaptations.

Masterpiece with criticism that is still applicable to our times, humanity, a lot of sarcasm, suffocated desires and feelings, with a fantastic Ava Gardner and two very hot Mexican beach boys...Cult at it's very best ...Go and rent it !!!!

I completely adore richard burton. He is an excellent actor although he's made some bad choices movie wise although pretty amazing in this, meanders off slightly towards end.
