This is one of my favorite old movies. David Niven is just terrific. Funny.

What a shame. One of the best movies I've seen and there's almost no one that has seen it. The script is absolutely brilliant. So is the acting. So is the imagery. Perhaps one of the most overlooked movies ever?

Was considered scandalous back in it's day due to it's open use of sex lingo but time has not been good to this Preminger film. Holden is fine but Maggie McNamara's one note performance just began to grate on me after a while.
