the first time i hear open arms was watching this movie. and all these years later as im watching it now, i so rememeber how i loved the song open arms

One of my all time favorite 80's comedies. Great soundtrack and one of the best endings I've ever seen in a movie.

My friend Phil is convinced that this is actually an allegory of the passion play. My friend Phil is a very smart man. Watch the entire "Lemon Popsicle" series "Up Your Anchor," etc., then watch this. It's like taking some drug you've never heard of, then waking up later dizzy and, for some reason, sticky.

It has its laughs, but it's all very dramatic. An 80's classic that is often overlooked. Nowadays, it isn't as raunchy. And the plot is pretty average. But the character development and the ending are what make this film a new wave gem.
