While filing for a divorce, beautiful ex-stripper Roslyn Taber ends up meeting aging cowboy-turned-gambler Gay Langland and former World War II aviator Guido Racanelli. The two men instantly become infatuated with Roslyn and, on a whim, the three decide to move into Guido's half-finished desert home together. When grizzled ex-rodeo rider Perce Howland arrives, the unlikely foursome strike up a business capturing wild horses.

How do both bad-breathed Clark Gable and drug-addicted Marilyn Monroe manage to deliver such great performances while making tired, puffy-eyed drug addiction look so GOOD?

A sad and misguided group of charcaters come together for a really somber story about loss of direction in life and loneliness. Marilyn and Montgomery are at their finest in perfectly tailored roles, if not their lowest points in their personal lives. The ending is erie and sad for both Marilyn and Clark. A very moving, strange and haunting film with a great score and script.

A beautiful, profound, utterly underappreciated revisionist Western, with great turns from all involved and a wonderful script from Arthur Miller.

One of my favorite Marilyn movies, it really shows how good of an actress she was. I love old movies and this is for sure one of my favorites.
