I literally slept for a few minutes during the first part of this film. I also found it odd so it was a surprise to me when I discovered that it was a true story. Still, it was nice to know a little about Norway.

Svaert bra film. Flott det endelig lages en skikkelig norske historisk film om virkelige hendelser. Vi trenger en motvekt til alle heltehistoriene vi faar fra amerikanske filmer.

Bra fÃ¶r att vara norsk (he he), den Ã¤r stark och trovÃ¤rdig, tydlig hur kolonisationen av Finmarken bedrevs. Dax att be om ursÃ¤kt till urbefolkningen!

A really good movie that gives you a glance into very real history, back to the year 1852, when it might have ment life or death, wheter you bend under forceful convert to christianity, or opposed, wanting to preserve your own culture. A touching movie that made me cry. So far the best movie of the ongoing year, which definitely earns a high spot in my all time favorites. Some have commented that the SÃ¡mi in the movie were naive - yes, maybe if they were of a modern culture, but this wasn't the case. I instantly loved the brave character that Anni-Kristiina played. It wasn't difficult at all to relate to the SÃ¡mi people, I can feel only great warmth towards them as I'm priviliged to personally know two SÃ¡mi. I would recommend this movie to everyone, to widen the views of life. Watch the movie, I dare you :)
