The movie almost begs for 'Batman'-style sound-effect captions, but provided by Don Martin: 'Sklishity, skloshity!' when the Melting Man leaves his gluey footprints; 'Poit! when his eyeball plops to the ground.

A BAD BUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE B-MOVIES EVER!! Wooden acting, non-sensical plot, terrible pacing and editing! But thats what makes it so great and thus that's why I rate this high! Watch the MST3K episode though, defintely one of their best episodes!!

Only really worth it for Rick Baker's special effects, which aren't as good as his later work e.g. An American Werewolf In London. The film itself is a very cheaply made horror originally planned as a comedy but changed at the last minute. This is evident by the random end with a worker randomly sweeping up the leftovers of the infected astronaut.

An entertaining but ultimately cheesy and stupid body horror film that is basically described in its title. While it sounds like a 50s film, The Incredible Melting Man is actually from twenty years later when apparently special effects were better but plot development remained virtually the same. Lot of the film: an astronaut experiences high levels of radiation in space and manages to survive, he returns to Earth as a melting man, and he escapes from the hospital and begins murdering people. As he melts more and more, he becomes even stronger. The film never makes sense, but it is a gooey good time if you enjoy cheesetastic cinema.
