The Hunt for Red October (1990)

A new technologically-superior Soviet nuclear sub, the Red October, is heading for the U.S. coast under the command of Captain Marko Ramius. The American government thinks Ramius is planning to attack. Lone CIA analyst Jack Ryan has a different idea: he thinks Ramius is planning to defect, but he has only a few hours to find him and prove it - because the entire Russian naval and air commands are trying to find Ramius, too. The hunt is on!

Enjoyable submarine/war movie. Crimson Tide is better, but this is very enjoyable, once you accept the Russian with the Scottish brogue !

A taut and exceedingly well-made thriller. It keeps a strong sense of excitment, despite the fact that it is actually very minimal on action. It is driven on its ambiance (Including probably one of the most underrated film scores ever made) and it's strong acting (Particularly from Alec Badlwin and Sean Connery). John McTiernan once again proved how greathe was as a director.

My man is in this movie, so of course i loved it.

Harrison Ford can bite my ass. Baldwin is a way better Jack Ryan and this movie is head and shoulders above the others.

Some of Sean Connery's greatest work. The story is intriguing and the whole movie is well acted through and through.
