This was a typical found footage film except there was no real build-up. It was boring from beginning to end and extremely disappointing. I only post this because thinking about someone else having to sit through it and watch it makes me slightly nauseous.

The filmmakers attempt to inject some life into their dubiously thin narrative by incorporating sequences shot at actual haunted houses that favor more elaborate shock tactics.

I have some mixed opinions on this one. The film stars out great with an interesting plot to lure in haunt fans like myself or just horror fans in general. This is also one of the best attempts I have seen at a found footage movie recently! Mid way trough the film it begins to set up for the ending building up a lot of tension but ends up with a weak confusing ending. Worth checking out if your a Haunt Fan though!

One of the better found footage films you can see. Our main leads are believable as real people and as friends, the footage inside the various different haunts is impressive, and the film mixes in footage of news interviews that may or may not be fake. The big pay off that the film is guiding us towards was pretty disappointing in my own opinion, but I had such a blast with this film and it's cool, interesting premise and how they chose to film the proceedings that I'm willing to overlook that. This film is different enough and fun enough that I'd say any horror fan, found footage fan, or fan of haunted houses should definitely check it out.
